Our Story
A long family tradition of coffee production dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, in the region of Villa Canales, Guatemala. It all started with Don Miguel Soto Barillas, our great grandfather, born in 1889. Carried over by our beloved grandfather, Don Miguel Soto Manzo. Today, Armando Soto continues the tradition, by perfecting the art of producing the best quality of coffee beans. Our coffee plantations are located in the Fraijanes and Oriente coffee regions. Both plantations produce coffee under the shade of trees, helping conserve the biodiversity of the forests of the Eastern and Central Highlands of Guatemala.
